JJ Wants Help

For this group to have longevity, JJ will need help. JJ has planned to continue this event until September; for it to continue past then, JJ will want some help running the event. JJ knows themself well enough to predict that they will get burnout if they continue past then without help and the event will suffer as well.

What would helping require?

The amount of help that JJ would need can be flexible/discussed/negotiated, it also depends on the event

Greeter(s)

Someone who is willing to stay for the entirety of an event to greet attendees and who gives out name-tags. Also may include (but not require) someone who is willing to check in with attendees and who can provide JJ with feedback on the event

Promoter(s)

Someone who is willing to share the details of the event through word of mouth and through cautious use of poster sharing

Co-organizer(s)

The most involved role. Someone who is willing to stay for the entirety of the event and who brings resources to help run the event (JJ will provide the organizer with the resources, but the organizer will need to bring them to the event). Someone who is willing to help watch over the attendees and who is willing to check in on them and facilitate conversations amongst attendees. Someone who is willing to run the occasional event in case JJ is sick/busy. Someone who is willing to start/help with one of the potential events (JJ will help get the event started, but will likely be more hands off as the event grows)

Web Monitor

Someone who is willing to check the website periodically for typos/legibility and who can provide suggestions for the website (html/css experience helpful but not required)

Moderator

Someone who knows the details of the event who is willing to periodically check the discord/signal for questions or the misuse of the social(s)

JJ is interested in hosting additional events. However, they will want help to do so. Some ideas are: A bar night/dating event; Trans and Nonbinary BIPOC event; Disabled Trans and Nonbinary event; Trans, Nonbinary, Questioning, and Cis+ event; Trans and Nonbinary VC/Online event

Trans & Nonbinary BIPOC Meet

What would need to happen?
~ Someone from that community would need to host (JJ would help)

~ Someone from that community would need to host (JJ would help)

Internally Displaced Trans & Nonbinary Meet

Trans, Nonbinary, Questioning, & Cis+ Event

~ The CANTR community would vote on this one

Trans & Nonbinary VC/Online

~ Might start once the server is bigger or during the winter

Trans & Nonbinary Takeover/(Bar Night)

~ At least 10 people would need to express interest
~ JJ might need to make some connections to make this one happen

How do I express interest in these (or interest in helping with these) events?
