Phase 1 - In Progress, Ends After September Event

JJ plans on using multiple discord servers that they are in to promote this event. The goal of this decision is to get the ball rolling on this event as much as possible. With the success of the first event and with the vocal interest in future events, JJ will continue phase 1 through the September event

Phase 1 Information

Where is JJ currently advertising?

Phase 2 - Currently Planning

Due to the political climate, JJ wants to be cautious with the advertising of this event. After phase 1, JJ wants to start phasing out of (or avoiding all together) advertising in other spaces where there is less privacy. This means that JJ will not be sharing this group/event through sites such as Instagram or Facebook (they never advertised on insta, briefly advertised and then pulled it from FB), and JJ intends to stop sharing (and potentially removing) information for this event from large discord servers. Instead, JJ wants this event to spread through word of mouth, the signal chat, this website, and the discord server (which may also get phased out at a later point).

Phase 2 Information

After the September event (Sunday September 27th) advertising will be pulled from most online locations

Advertising will be moved to word of mouth via community members and through JJ. JJ will start advertising in person. These events will be listed as they come for transparency

Phase 2.5 - Depends on Community Feedback

JJ is interested in hosting additional events. However, they will want help to do so. Some ideas are: A bar night/dating event; Trans and Nonbinary BIPOC event; Disabled Trans and Nonbinary event; Trans, Nonbinary, Questioning, and Cis+ event; Trans and Nonbinary VC/Online event

~ The CANTR community would vote on this one

Trans & Nonbinary VC/Online

~ Might start once the server is bigger or during the winter

~ JJ might need to make some connections to make this one happen

Phase 3 - Depends on Community Feedback

JJ would like to develop a system where members of the community can anonymously (or privately may be a better term) offer and ask for resources. This could include helping each other find housing, helping each other find jobs, helping each other find other events, ect. JJ would also like to find another person (or a couple of people) to help with the group, especially if it is to continue past the summer. JJ is still in school and will struggle to maintain this event during the last half of their semesters
